I take an eclectic approach to therapy which helps me attend to varied client needs on a time to time basis. My presence in the therapy space is based in the Person-Centered Therapy approach and is queer friendly. The work from mind-body practices, relational and trauma approaches is also at the centre of my therapeutic framework within sessions. Keeping a non-diagnostic lens in my counseling work, I try to build a collaborative approach with clients and am open to feedback as well. For my child clients, I take a mixed approach comprising play, arts, movement, stories and more, to utilize mediums that are most relatable for them. Giving appropriate agency and providing optimal safety in sessions are priorities to build healthy therapeutic relationships with them.

I offer a warm, empathetic and non-judgemental environment which can foster maximum growth for the client. I also like to include elements of fun and humor into sessions at times. I follow an integrative approach to therapy and counselling, which combines techniques from various schools of thought. A typical session I have would include elements of holistic healing, a trauma focused approach based on identifying certain behavioural patterns, and working with the inner child and childhood experiences. Also as an individual passionate about therapy and wanting to understand people better, I read up more about the client’s concerns, have a dialogue with the client on what works for them and what does not.

I work with individuals and couples with a simple belief — that our mind is complex, layered, and shaped by everything we’ve lived through, every relationship we’ve been in, and every experience still to come. For me, the therapeutic relationship itself becomes part of what helps you shift. The aim is to help you understand and appreciate your own mind, and find ways to make it work best for you. My approach is tailored to each person, drawing inspiration from CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Gestalt. I’m a firm believer in your inner strength to heal and grow. I seek to meet you where you are, and support you through the discoveries you make in the therapeutic space. A curiosity about being human is something I carry into every session. There is space here for your story.
