DATE WITH MOVEMENT:
A Workshop for Couples in Bangalore
Step away from the everyday and explore new ways of connecting, communicating, and understanding each other through movement and shared reflection.

A 2 hour workshop for couples to explore themes of connection and communication whilst engaging in movement activities and dialogue with each other.
This recreational workshop will take you and your partner through a series of free flowing movement games and exercises (not dance steps and not work out!) that you will be invited to participate in, in the way you feel comfortable. In between these activities, we will also be talking about feelings and thoughts emerging individually and as a couple, by engaging in dialogue with each other and perhaps creating some art together as well.
Since elements of the workshop are taken from therapy modalities, we will intend to create a warm, non-judgemental space together to engage in the session.
Kindly note, this workshop is not a substitute for couples therapy itself.

Couples who are currently in romantic relationships may join the workshop.

About the Facilitator
Sukriti Dua
Sukriti is a trauma-informed psychologist and a dance/movement therapy facilitator who works with diverse individuals, couples and groups across the lifespan. In her practice, she believes in meeting people right where they are at and working with them using mind-body practices, relational and trauma approaches, in an eclectic and queer friendly manner. With close to a decade of experience in the field, she began with a post graduation in Clinical Psychology, and went on to complete certifications in Dance/Movement Therapy (CMTAI) and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (ICEEFT) , which are at the heart of this workshop.
She has experience in conducting workshops where people explore their feelings and build self and relational awareness through movement and reflective activities, via corporates, universities, training and therapy centres. She hopes to bring some of those learnings into building this experience for couples. Besides this, she has also been a Tedx Speaker and enjoys dancing as well.
